About Bill Bloom & Bloom Financial
Bill Bloom is an independent financial planner and principal of Bloom Financial Company. He helps individuals and business owners understand their current financial situations, define future goals, and develop a strategy that is flexible and will allow them to reach their retirement objectives. Bill helps clients “Retire as You Desire” by providing them with meaningful strategies to a wide range of financial matters including: investments, risk management, tax planning as well insurance needs analysis.
As an independent financial advisor, Bill is able to choose from a wide variety of products, resources and tools that align with his clients’ best interests. He understands that every client’s situation is unique and requires a customized strategy. For Bill it is not just about creating a plan, it is about building long term relationships.
He holds “Retire as You Desire” workshops for clients and guests on a regular basis. Bill believes that when clients truly understand the financial landscape of retirement they make better informed decisions about their retirement planning.
Bill is completing his Retired Income Certified Professional designation through the American College. He graduated with honors from Ohio Valley University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management where he was also a four-year starter and Captain for the Men’s Soccer team. Bill was also named a Crain’s “Top Financial Advisors in Chicago.”
Bill and his wife, Jude, love traveling and trying new restaurants in Chicago. He is also a member of several professional and civic organizations. An avid sailor, he is a member of the Chicago Yacht Club and serves on their Board of Directors. Bill is also the Treasurer for the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation, which focuses its time to help underprivelidged children get out on the water. Being on the water is one of his favorite activities; he was among eight Chicago sailors that won the Antigua International Race Week competition and each year he participates in the Race to Mackinac.
